Hi Dan,

Thank you so much for your invitation to join your panel. I am both honored
and awed to be in such distinguished company, and I will do my best to live
up to the amazing standards of excellence that you and the other panel
members have set.

Ever since I can remember, I've had an intense interest in the process of
communication - how to listen so as to really understand, what to say so as
to be really understood, and how to use technology to communicate more
effectively.

So over the years, I've wound up collecting experiences on both sides of the
left brain/right brain divide - marketing, sales, and writing on the high touch
side, as well as electronics engineering, computer networking, and web site
programming on the high tech side. Why? Well, mainly because no one
bothered to tell me it was impossible.

This dual process has eventually led me to three key revelations:

Real estate investing is the greatest wealth builder in history.
The Internet is the greatest cash flow vehicle ever built. And
Successfully combining the two must automatically create the most
powerful prosperity machine the world has ever known.
Impossible, you say? Only if you think it is. But nobody told me I couldn't do
it, so with the help of the awesome Michele Robbins (another member of this
panel), I bought my first investment property with no credit, no job, and no
cash of my own. We both remember it as the deal from hell, but neither of us
believed it was impossible, so we did it - and showed it could be done.

After several more much easier purchases, and happy with my dot com
ventures, I decided to practice what I preached and combine the two
systems. In my case, that meant turning my writing and web development
skills to the task of showing others how to deal with the Financial Trap
(see article (http://www.letsdodeals.com/index2.html)) that so many of us are finding so impossible to escape.

The result is LetsDoDeals.com (http://www.letsdodeals.com/), a huge resource site with a threefold
mission:

COMMUNICATE so people can wake from their confusion/fear/worry
and take action (content, links, ebiz consulting),
EDUCATE so people can clearly understand there is still a way to win
if they just get moving (library section), and
FACILITATE the process of actually doing deals, rather than just
talking about how to do them (forum, VREIA investor club, creating
ebusinesses).
As you've pointed out to me, Dan, our missions are in many ways quite
similar. I was delighted to see that your web site demonstrates the same
spirit of communicate-educate-facilitate that inspires me. And you're right,
together we all can make a difference. Impossible? Hardly.

I've read your book, Magic Bullets in Real Estate, and it is truly a one-stop
text for anyone wanting to get started - or get better - in real estate. The
common sense insights you reveal, (such as how to actually turn realtors into

Lance I know you said you needed a day or so to write your introduction and I now see why! That is probably the best overall post by a high profile player as I have seen. I have known you for going on about 2 years now and you have indeed lived up to your intro above.

I absolutely agree with your words and mindset above, I'm not about to try and match you in word count here, so I will leave off with, it is with my humble thanks that we the family here can now say that you are among us and with that we all have just gained your years of knowledge, experience, effort and the superior bounty of resources and tools that you offer to accelerate every-ones progress in real estate.

I know I've been away for a while, but I needed to make sure I was putting
my money where my mouth is.

It's easy enough to tell folks to set up a system to make money by combining
REI with Internet marketing, but there's lots of people not making any money
at either one. Neither field is easy, and both are fraught with peril for
the unsuspecting.

I've found that people don't just want to know the theory - they want a
step-by-step, 1-2-3 system to follow. So if I'm to maintain credibility, I have
to not only give them what they want, but practice what I preach at the
same time to make sure it works as advertised.

And as you know, doing it is one thing, creating a way for other people to do
what you're doing is quite another. The good news is, I believe I finally got
the mix right, so you'll be hearing a lot more from me from now on.

BTW, I absolutely love your Weekly 15 Hour Investor Schedule. Talk about
bringing some sanity to the madness. When you're as busy as I am, it's easy
to let a ball drop. Your Schedule helps me keep in mind that I need to be
doing deals every day to stay on track, even when my face is glued to the
monitor for hours on end.

In fact, if you don't mind, I'm going to share the Schedule with my investor
partners and club members, and even make it available on my site - linking it
to yours, of course. It's a perfect way to streamline your day, and thus keep
a life. I noticed your sig file says only for personal use without permission, so
let me know if it's okay.
