Hi all,
I could have sworn it was here that someone mentioned that this is something they do as a Real estate Invester.
I was wondering can anyone give me a lot more detail about this Idea. As far as I know, The Gov subsidizes families who are in need of homes. The Gov pays a portion of the families rent and in return the tenants have to keep the appartments really tidey. If not they get the boot and put in someone else who can take care of the place.
My understanding of this is very basic as I only heard of this once.
I'd love to get as much info on this as possable.
Thanks for the help in advance....
P.S Dan any word on that 'Rehabbing pic' section we talked about not to long ago??

Check your local HUD office they have the program you are talking about. Here in Jacksonville Fl there is a long waiting list for section 8 housing, a lot of investors are finding ugly houses and rehabbing them for section 8. The house will have to pass a HUD inspection, you can get the requirements from your local HUD office. Here is a web site about the progam

Also if Dan can come up with a place for Rehab picures I have a house that i am
rehabbing for Section 8 that I would be happy to post pictures of.
You mentioned something about Section 8 which, I believe to be what Corporal Klinger (M*A*S*H) was seeking. That is closely related to what I renamed to sUction 8 in the housing industry. I could spend the next hour dissuading any LL from accepting a free-loading applicant using that HUD program. I must say that I, personally, have never had a bad Suction 8 tenant before I quit accepting them. My problem, which is the most common nationally, is local administration of the program. You may be one of the fortunate few with good local administration, but you will still be subject to nit-picky annual inspections and, of course, lead paint inspections.
In most cases, it'is best to let your conscience be your guide. In this matter I prefer to let common sense be my guide.

Working on it Jax, Vic (webmaster did say) you could use the attachment feature that every post is capable of to upload pictures to your post. Try that first!
