When should liens be paid off when purchasing a preforeclosure home?

Hello,

If a seller can reverse the pre-foreclosure sale within 5 days, shouldn't I wait out that 5 day period before paying off the liens and reinstating the loan?

Can this be covered in the purchase contract?
