Thought I'd find a funny here.

Well, maybe I did!

So Dan,

:wink:I'll have that cigar, if you don't mind a smokin lady.

AAAAHHAAHHAAHH!!!! I couldn't help myself.:SM023:

No, really I do have some inquiries.

Concerning:

1) Is there any way to view a message or post at the same time you are composing your reply?
2) What does it mean to mark forums as read?

BTW I've been getting away with using 4 smilies per post.

I'm still reading your book. I do have some question and will post them later. It is really helping me to pull my thoughts, focus and courage together, not to mention all the info I'm gathering on the forums.

Usually at this stage in the game I'm like a sponge. Eventually, and soon I think, I'll reach a saturation point and squeeze it all out and be ready wipe those counters clean and start soaking it all up again. Right now, I'm just out of the package gettin ready for the job.

You are from Texas Ain't you girl, all full of fire and vinegar. Spicy hot you are and that's a good thing! Elizabeth, the way to read and reply is to reply by hitting quote this way your reply has the message above it while your reply block is open, if you want to remove the text of what you had already read, then just highlight and cut, leaving your reply to post! :smiley3:

I tell you what Dan,

Your dang straight I ain't monica, that little dumb@#*!. :icon_roll
I got enough "fire and vinegar" to expect, no, demand more than a cigar, if that's what I'm after.
Anyway, I had more sympathy for what that little twit didn't get than what she did get. Nah, I didn't have any sympathy for her at all.

I do hope I haven't offended your sensibilities in any way. :SM029:

Well now, I didn't get an answer to my second question concerning forums being marked as read. Do tell. :SM113:

You should know, If I have to come back to your office again for that answer, I'm going to demand more than a cigar. So unless you want to spring for the beer, Shiner Bock please, then I suggest you answer the question.

Over the course of playing with these boards and navigating around, we the administrators also have some questions that we ourselves aren't quite sure about, so when you say marked as read, I take it you mean they are no longer highlighted. I know of know way to mark them as read other than clicking on them and then the bold highlight feature becomes standard text.

Now if that doesn't remind you of a politician I don't know what does! When things get really bad we ourselves ask my webmaster vic, so you could also ask him or I can forward this on for further info.

Vic can be reached by looking at the members list under the letter Z his Avatar is Spock! :SM105: :SM003:

Thanks Dan,

I understand and I appreciate your not being a complete know it all.
Well the link is found under quick links, second down, and reads 'Mark Forums Read'. I'm sure it should be self explanatory some how, but I'll check with Vic after I give it another quick look.

Well thanks for the ceegar and tollerating mah big attitude. I do intend to have more civilized conversation as I compile my information, but you might auta keep some brewsky in the chiller, cause it's likely I'll be back.

Hi there Rosewood,

When you log on all the posts you haven't read are highlighted. If you click on the " mark as read link" it will take away the highlight and it will look like you have read all the posts.

Just a tool to use if you find the highlights annoying. :SM088:

This one is flying right over my hat. Fortunatly, I've got enough smarts to figure out pretty much everything else.

I know I'll be truckin along one day and then suddently 'AHAA!' I'll figure it out and enlightenment will be mine. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_11_9.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZNxdm824BBUS)

I'll let you know how it goes, or if it goes. This could take awhile. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_11_13.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZNxdm824BBUS)
