Here is a jig that my brother made for cutting vinyl soffit. There are two boards screwed to a sheet of OSB that the vinyl slide through and there are two more boards screwed across the first two for the circular saw. You can also see marks at one end of the jig to measure for the cut. (that way you don't have to measure and mark each piece to be cut. The blade on the saw is set to cut 1/8" deeper than the material so that we don't cut all the way through the plywood.
