I was thinking of having people who come to see my house sign in with their name and an email address. Since the house is still under minor rehab, I figured I could email them every few days with the new upgrades.
Then I could also poll them later and ask why they didnt like the house or make an offer. I think some realtors do that.
Any other ideas?
I officially put my sign out yesterday and put my ad up at http://www.forsalebyowner.com/show-listing.php?iListingID=20607251
Let me know what you think about the ad.
I plan on putting it in the paper for next Sunday -Saturday and online for the local paper
Here I get to wear both of my hats... as a Realtor... I never ask people for their information... I give them mine if they ask. In my experience, people get a bit uneasy if you press them for phone numbers and emails. That said... if you walked into a open house I was giving... I could email you all of the properties your looking for from the open house... so when I was pressing for business in that way... I got a lot of email addresses. As for feedback... here is is... the home is overpriced or there was something in the home they did not like... For really good feedback you might try just asking them for it while in the home... ask them what they would do to the home to make it sell faster. If enough people say the paint sucks... you might look into a paint job.
As the investor... I might offer to email updated photos at each 'major' project step if someone wanted to leave me their email.

You know I was wondering what you thought was so funny, like i was doing something stupid or something....Oh Gosh, NO! Definitely nothing stupid or something
But now I know its that your stuck in Tornado Capital instead of Hurricane Alley.:SM122: Good payback
Judd, I'm sorry.
I didn't know that the website does not notify you. I've never used it as a seller before.
I'll do better when I tease someone.

Too many "will have's" You are advertising too early for top dollar. Get it done then advertise.
