Regional market growth?

Hi All!
We have a property with a two-year old appraisal in New Orleans that I'm trying to value so we can nail down a reasonable asking price (without getting a new appraisal). The area has undergone tremendous growth through urban renewal efforts in the past few years, and real estate has gone through the roof! I'm looking for a resource that tells me what the market growth rate has been over the past few years in the area (perhaps by zip code?) so I can apply it to my old appraisal info and ballpark an asking price. Anyone?

Super Dave the C-130 pilot extraordinaire/ Land mogul I would suggest you contact a few local appraisers down in that area and cozy up to them, ask them what they see going on in those areas! They will have perspective that no one else does!

I just got off the phone with an appraiser friend of mine in North Florida and he had some very valuable investment advice regarding the area that I am going to buying up when I get back, not to mention he wants in on the potential deals and wants to contribute a $100,000 in investment capital to start out.

These guys can make excellent investment partners (just a side note)
