Don't you teach to share the knowledge and good karma comes back. ( ok, so you don't use karma... but you get it!)
However, my main objective here is to help others as you have helped me. There is enough success for all of us to go around ! :SM120:

Say folks, may a newbie ask a dumb question? Is it possible to save these files once they have been downloaded? I get them to open OK, but I can't save them to disk. This is not what happens to every download...just a few that come up as a "protected page". Any advice? Thanks.

When you open your ebook you will want to save as: such as your HD or on CD.
If you are trying to save on a disc, many ebooks are too large for that type of media.
You can save to your HD and try zipping the file or save to your HD and burn to CD.
Most of mine are to large for a disc.

Thanks, John. I had tried to do that before, but the docs wouldn't save. It was just one or two, not everything, but those that wouldn't save were all yours. I don't know why. Anyway, it worked like a charm this time. Thanks again. And thanks, too, for telling me about this site. This is amazing.

Come on Racy, you too!
With all due and great respect for the folks offering this, I feel a responsibility to offer a warning to the unaware. Grants, interest-free loans, subsidies, etc. look great on their faces. The downside to all, or most, is that they have more strings attached than a parade of puppets. The three top contenders are a requirement that you own the property for five more years, you must comply with any and all local requirements for lead paint abatement, and you must agree to be subjected to annual local code compliance inspections.
Those opportunities are great if you are willing to meet the above requirements and probably more. Before agreeing to any such offer, review it carefully. Failure to comply will result in voiding the deal and you will be required to repay the debt in full, plus interest.

Sorry but this was a giveaway some time ago, and the offer has since expired.
So Aldo why not specify of what you are talking about!
Such as actual cases of negatives (since this is the focus now).
Is this a first hand opinion or an assumed?
Look folks we can claim negative on anything, by just making a statement of such but just stating negatives does not make it so.
Yes it is true when using "OPM" Other peoples money (Private, Hard Money, Banks, Government or even your Grand mother) rules do apply and if not followed trouble will follow.
Strings are attached to most any form of funding from loans to grants.
Get a mortgage and don't pay you loose the property and your credit rating.
It's real simple folks investing in real estate has a negative side such as "YOU COULD LOOSE" Why Bother!
Drive your car today and you could have an accident! Why Bother!
Jump on a plane and it could crash! Why Bother!
Don't get up today you could have a heart attack! Why Bother!
GET THE POINT!

John Michael has provided well deseved information and good points.:praise:
Aldo most certainly provided good points regarding strings attached.:praise:
We all need to be aware of what's involved so that we can best weigh the pros and cons prior to making final decision that is best for each of us.
Keep being excellent teachers but don't turn it into negative debate, please. :icon_buss

Thanks Deb,
I agree no negative debate, but I need to know what Aldo (great :SM009: for) is talking about since this was posted on a post that I started.
I have been using government grants and loans for years without problems and teaching the same also, so I would like to know based upon facts what Aldo is talking about as I may learn something form this:punk:
why not specify of what you are talking about!
I clearly stated what I was talkng about when I said. ".....requirement that you own the property for five more years, you must comply with any and all local requirements for lead paint abatement, and you must agree to be subjected to annual local code compliance inspections." The truth of the matter is that there are often more than just those three 'strings', depending on local municipal wishes or requirements.
I had no intent to disagree with you and, in fact, did not do that. Instead, I offered some very valuable information to those who are not aware of info contained in the fine print. I totally agree with the fact that those programs are valuable to many investors, but not to all investors. I simply want the family to know that if certain conditions are not met, the 'free money' may have to be repaid.

Uh-oh! Obviously, I missed this thread that should have been closed awhile back.
I'm sorry Scott. That ebook, to the best of my knowledge, no longer exist.
John-Michael and REIaddicted had been ordered by the court to shut down all RE related websites that they hosted.
This thread is now closed.
