Way back when you first started posting at Neodemesne (http://www.real-estate-investors-resource.com) I knew you were a person of heart and substance.

The build-up to and the anticipation of the launching of Magic Bullets was well worth the wait.

You have a rockin' site, my friend. :SM086:

Good job!

Thank you for that Bruce! It's nice to have you here in return. Weve been following each other around the net for sometime now and it's always a pleasure to see you here adding value to our site as well. I look forward to you getting your site back up to steam after the hosting attacks but am confident you'll be around for years to come.

Friendship means more than money once you have enough dough to satisfy basic needs, I value your friendship highly! Dan :SM065:

I've read some of your replies here and thought, "Cool. We have another quality investor here. Nothing more. Nothing less." and I had no real reason to visit your site. In this thread you mention Dan having frequented your site. That told me that I was missing something worthwhile. Dan doesn't just go to any old site and that fact prompted me to pay a visit to your site.

If the truth were told, methinks our brains came out of the same factory. The 'free seminars' are ads for the paid seminars. The paid seminars are invitations to the pricey conventions (can you say 'books and tapes'?). The pricey conventions are pressure sessions for the boot camps. The boot camps (I believe) are such an overload of info that a person who doesn't (illegally) tape the thing, forgets most of what they hear before they get home.

I like your thinking, so please hang around here for a few hundred years.

Thanks for the kind words, Aldo.

In a simplified rendition of 'the World as I see it' there are two camps:

1] Those who truly provide consumers with worthwhile products and services that fill some kind of need.

2] Those who prey on the misery of others, and the hopes and dreams and aspirations for a happier, richer and more fulfilling life.

Way too many of the self-proclaimed RE and Motivational Guru's fall into the second camp.

Dan spent quality time contributing quality information to our forum (http://www.real-estate-investors-resource.com/rei-forum).
Those posts are currently unavailable to the public (though I am sure much of the same material is now available here) because the original forum was maliciously crashed.

Like the Phoenix, it will arise!

I'm in the process of deciding if there is any merit in continuing on at the REI Resource forum. (http://real-estate-investors-resource.com/forum/)

Comments welcome.

Why? Is there a problem?

Apart from the fact that I'm talking to myself and 500 of the 800+ members were European bots posting porn and viagra links, everything is just peachy.

Where the other 300+ members hang out anymore is anybodies guess...

Oh NO!!!!

I'm sorry Bruce!

Jim (FL) had the same problem with his forum awhile back.

If there's a way we can help, let us know! We'll help!

Bruce why not ask a few key people to be assistant moderators and admins over there to keep a handle on the rogue posters. Your good with the Internet, I don't see why you can't get ranked up a bit and get more members contributing, this just baffles me and also casts a grey cloud on my disposition brother. I hope you will retrench and make your forum all that I know it can be!

Thanks for the words of encouragement.

However, just as the country is over-saturated with investors causing artificially inflated markets on both coasts, so is the Internet over-saturated with real estate web sites.

I've done my best to warn folks against the hype surrounding investing. I think it is time I concentrate on things more urgent and eternal.

Best of success to all.

You'll always have a place to post up real estate topics that you find need discussion Bruce.
It's hard to believe you're letting it fold.
Maybe you can tell your loyal followers to come here, hey I'll make a specific forum for you if you can get 100 to come on over!

umm....apparently, they already did. So much for loyalty, eh?

Thanks for the offer, though, bro.

I sent out the following email. I'd like to share it here, please.

Greetings,

We're still mulling over whether or not to carry on with the REI Resource forum.

We've just migrated to yet one more server in the hopes of resolving some of the issues.

Our new location is at http://real-estate-investors-resource.com/forum/

I'd appreciate it if you could fire off a brief reply if this email reaches you.

I would also like to take this opportunity to speak to you from my heart.

REI Resource began as just that, a real estate investing resource site devoted to those truly aspiring to enrich themselves through the pursuit of the knowledge of investing. We dedicated ourselves to providing an informational alternative to the infomercial/seminar "hypesters" - those self-serving freaks-of-nature who prey on dreams.

Sometime back I revised the forum header to read:

"Your #1 Resource for Christian Based Real Estate Investing Discussions"

This is not to say that non-Christians are not welcome. Quite the contrary!

It is a gentle reminder to our members (and ourselves) that while the pursuit of wealth, to whatever degree, is, in itself, not a bad thing, it should not be the focus of our lives.

As James says in James 4:13-15

"13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; 14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. 15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.”"

When was the last time someone inquired as to your eternal well-being, i.e., your salvation?

Now turn that around. When was the last time that you inquired to the salvation of another?

Jesus gave us a mission, generally referred to as the Great Commission:

Matthew 28:16-20

16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

All of you receiving this email already have at least one commonality with us - an interest in real estate investing.

Some also share brotherhood and sisterhood in Jesus Christ.

For those of you who do not yet profess a Christian view and still hold fast to a "world view" I implore you to visit the following links:

http://christiansoldiers.real-estate-investors-resource.com/are-you-saved.php

http://christiansoldiers.real-estate-investors-resource.com/christianity.php

The secular elements of our society are working feverishly to eliminate God from our Nation and our schools, dispensing theoretical doctrine as fact.

Take the time to educate yourselves beyond that which some of your teachers have filled your heads (and the minds of your children).

I invite you all to visit us soon (how about now!) at http://real-estate-investors-resource.com/forum and let's talk about Real Estate Investing and/or Christianity.

In Him,

Bruce W. Macomber

I had just discovered it and just finished replying.

Thanks, bro and don't be a stranger, eh? I know there is enough to you to go around and you are worth sharing, my friend.
