I am curious...
If I were to get an option to buy a piece of property, and there was a decent enough spread to allow for it, could I list the property with an agent? I have my doubts, but I am most certainly NOT SURE. My main concern is that I would not be able to since I do not "own" the property. Please help. :SM030:
Thanks

If you wrote a contract with the seller and that was agreed to then an agent wouldn't care (IMHO) a limited power of attorney would prove that case. The real problem here is your giving away your profits when you should be doing this phase. That's what this is all about, providing solutions to peoples problems. You need to be able to find, acquire, fix, market and close deals on your own! If you contract everything out you'll be broke an out of business before you ever start.

Thanks Dan, that is exactly what I wanted to hear. I don't plan on listing any properties, anytime soon, I just have some possible deals in other states, that I can get an option on, and then I would like to have a recommended realtor be able to show it, find a local buyer, and help out with the long distance closing. Someday, if the deal is good enough, rather than pay the agent to do deals like this, I would like to be able to fly down and do it all myself-using what I would have payed the agent.
