I was wondering what people's thoughts are about learning more about real estate investing by studying a real estate licensing exam book. As a newbie, would that give me a good overview of the real estate business for starts? Or should I stick only with books on investing? Keep in mind I love to learn and have considered getting my licsence.

Thanks for the input.

Danno, I've been through two licensing courses for real estate in AK/FL what you get there is regulations, disclosure proceedures, contract law(state specific) and other regulatory gobledeegook that you'll never use if your not going to play real estate agent!

Go to an appraisal class if you want to learn something of value, then hang out with creative attorneys and real estate investors in your area and lastly focus on what interests you that you seem to like and have some natural inclination and talent for.

Pursue that specific niche and don't get side tracked or watered down by tryng to learn all the different ways to play the game to early, focus on what you like and learn it by going out and making mistakes as you go.

That's my two :SM003: cents!
