I am just looking to find out if anyone has been to this before and what there experience was at it. It seems like it could be worthwhile and it is fairly cheap.

I am interested in going to the November 07 one in NY, but thats a year way.

Hmm, I dont think its free at all. I was looking at the VIP pass and for NY it was about 400 I think. But if you don't buy the first time and you X out the page, there is a pop under giving you a huge discount.

Also after you purchase one ticket, they allow you to purchase more for 50 a piece. This is what I was told by someone who bought tickets for the Atlanta expo.

At $400, or even $200, I'd take a pass on that one. Well, maybe even $100. I'm sure that expo will offer some, probably just some, great info which is attached to promos for the books and CD's being offered for sale by the various presenters.

My advice is to attend every freebie expo, seminar, workshop, et al, that is offered to you. It may not be much, but you'll walk away learning something every time. Then there are other (I'll call them) seminars for under $100 which may be worth your money. An example is the recent Ohio REI convention. $79 paid for three days of 2 hour seminars on every imaginable REI topic, exposure to a huge number of REI-related vendors and almost unlimited networking opportunities.

The end story is that you don't want to pay a lot of money to listen to a bunch of gurus who want you to spend even more money.

Great advice. I was looking at the expo as being a learning experience from the speakers but also a great networking opporunity with the other people attending the event.

Someone told me that they have a huge upsell afterwards, where they call you on the phone and try sell a mentoring package to you.

I try to attend every free or close to free workshop. You can never stop learning.

I am probably thinking they have a couple of big gurus as the big sellers and alot of no namers doing the rest of the work. Who even knows if the big gurus they are advertising will even be there, or if its a pre recorded message , who knows.

I just say that they had Jim Cramer speaking and that guy is great. I am into stock investing and he is awesome.
