Hello all,
I am the webmaster at OwnerWillCarry.Com and normally I would never submit this type of post, but I wanted to make you all aware of this message that was posted in my forum on 12/06/06:

Hi I'm a soldier returning from Iraq and am looking for a home for my
family. I need a 4 bedroom 2 bath home. I can make a 3 bedroom work if
it has a den that I can convert into a bedroom for my daughter. I'm
thinking of someplace in the northern part of Arkansas as that area has
smaller schools. We will have approx $4000.00 as a down payment. Any
assistance would be helpful.
Thankx
Sgt. King, James

I was wondering if there were any investors in Alabama that could help this solder out? I, like you appreciate what these men have had to endure over the past few years and will do all that I can to honor them.

If you like, you can reach him through his post (message #938) directly at: http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/owcforum/

Likewise, for investors willing to offer Owner Financing or Lease Option terms anywhere in the country, feel free to check out our forum. We have ready, willing, and able buyers nationwide that are searching for just the right property.

Thanks for your time,
Greg Winfield

No offense intended here, but being in the computer industry myself for almost 18 years I have seen alot of phishing scams that start out the same way as this "soldiers" request for help finding a home.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing but respect for the men and women in our armed services both here and abroad. And believe that we should do anything we can to help them and their families in return for their service to our country.

I just want everyone to be aware of the risks that are out there and the lengths scammers go to, to trick people with good hearts and money in their pockets. Most people are unaware of the overwelming amount of internet scams that are Emailed, texted, Instant messaged and even listed in forums. Over 2 Billion, yes Billion with a "B" messages are send out to unsuspecting people every day.

That being said, If this request is from a real soldier, I agree with Debbie that we should do our best to help him and his family.

Just my 2 cents worth........Damn, does anyone have 2 cents I can borrow???
