for estate planning, I just recently put my FLorida rental in landtrust.
Now, I need to give notice to insurance and mortgage company.
who do you write to? and what to say?
I am looking for sample notice to insurance company or mortgage company.
this is my first time, I have FEAR of bureaucrats and FEAR of rejection.
I am asking for your generous help.

Thanks for reading

Thank you for replying
I bought a course from an attorney's seminar.
I should research for the right seminar/course.
It does not include the letters which you have mentioned.
It has the LandTrust agreement, however.
I guess that the first time is only the most confused time, especially when it has anything to do with legal stuff.
In the meantime, I'll try to contact the attorney, or do more search.

You mentioned attorney's seminar....was this a local attorney or some guru type attorney?

If it was a local attorney, you may be okay. If it was a "travelling guru" then you'll probably want to have the trust reviewed by a local attorney to make sure it conforms to all the local laws & regulations and will do exactly what you think it will do. And that needs to happen BEFORE you tell anybody "officially" about the trust!

The course may or may not have been okay. Nobody here has challenged that.

The form you filled out to create the trust may or may not be in the proper legal format for your jurisdiction. THAT is what people are cautioning you about. A trust that would be perfectly legal for a property here in Pittsburgh, PA, might or might not be valid for a property in your area. And I've not seen you give any answer regarding whether the attorney who gave the course is local (making the likelihood that the trust is in the proper format for YOUR area greater) or not (making the potential for problems greater).

As EVERYONE has said, the first thing you need to worry about is whether or not your trust is legal in your area. (Unless you LIKE the idea of your insurance being canceled and your loan being called due immediately due to an inappropriate clause being used.) That's why we're all telling you to talk to a local attorney to find out for sure. Your attorney can also advise you as to the correct format for the notification letters. As one person pointed out, when their attorney draws up a trust for them, all of that information is included.

We're not trying to avoid your question. We're just trying to make sure you don't have a bigger problem waiting to pop out and grab you.
