Questions to ask potential buyers, sort of a pre-approval screening process for real estate agents but hey you may gain insights as well while playing a FSBO!

As the others have said, try your best to get them to CITO (come into the office). There are different sets of questions you can ask. These are the questions that, in my mind, are a must:

Are you working with any other salesperson or broker? If so, who?
How long have you been looking?
Do you currently own a home or are you renting?
Must you sell your current home before purchasing another?
How soon do you need to move?
If we find the right property, are you prepared to make a decision now? (I love this one)
Have you been pre-approved by a lender yet? If so, who?
Will anyone else be helping you make this decision?Here are some additional questions. I probably wouldn't ask these until I felt comfortable that this was a serious buyer.

How many are in your family? Do you have any school-age children?
Is there a particular location that you prefer?
What are you looking for in a house?
Do you have a particular style in mind?
Are there any special requirements you have?
What times are best for you to view properties?Hope this helped.
