Homestead exemptions

I am looking for information on homestead exemptions. I have heard they are a great way to protect the equity you have in your home from creditors and judgments. Anyone know if this is true and what Georgia's limits are??

Yep! It's true!

However, most people aren't quite so lucky. I'm one of the unlucky ones.

You see, in my state of Illinois, the homestead is only 7%. Big whoop!
