I am wondering, just to make sure, this is the wife of John Edwards, correct?
Candidate for the Democratic Nomination for President?
Just curious, is this a political fund raiser, or one for a cause?
I seem to recall she is dealing with cancer?
She is/has been of course in my prayers for that.

I'm a rather conservative biker, so if its political, we humbly decline, but do wish you well, and hope the occassion goes well for you and your esteemed guests.
Congratulations for hosting an event with such nicely profiled people.
I am impressed.
I once was able to attend some events with some rather high profiled republicans in my younger years, thanks to my families activities in local/state politics.
Always some kind of energy you get just being around folks like this, you must have it too, as the host.

Enjoy, and do tell when it's over, should be some amazing things to share afterwards.

Thank you for the kind words. John and Elizabeth are my friends.

Yes some folks will be contributing, however anytime we entertain famous folks in our home, we never require money from anyone.

With our radio show, my wife and I try to have a national known person every few months at our home to meet people.

I have found that meeting people who have made great accomplishments inspires me and others to reach higher in our own lives. I ignore their sex, color, religion, political affiliation, etc.

We want everyone to have the opportunity to be exposed to extraordinary people.

I find most people who I know, regardless of political party, really aren't that far apart in our beliefs and desires for the world and our lives.

By the way I ride a bike too.

Myself, I am conservative on crime and liberal on Hooters!
