I got a "special" invitation in the mail today to attend a REI conference in Anchorage hosted by these fellas. Have you heard of them? I got "VIP" tickets which "sell" for $69 each. Put on by "National Training Conference." Anyways, sounds intriguing...Says they will "teach you what others have paid $20,000 to learn."

If you know anything about Robert Bluhm, Wayne Gray, Reed West, or National Training Conference, please let me know, so that I can RSVP if it worth the trip to Anchortown...Or will I get there and try to be sold more information?

Thanks,

Ryan

Says the conference is on "Real Estate Investing and Total Asset Protection"

That is good to know Chris! I have his book and love his method of teaching and methods of investing-hence my interest in Sub2 as well as options. If he ever brings his conference up here I would surely attend, and I may buy one of his courses someday...

Good to know it wont be another "Russ Whitney Experience" :) My stepdad was very displeased with what they offered him. He makes a nice amount of money each year-as a selfmade millionaire-and they offered him some training that was gonna cost near $60,000!!!...Needless to say, he didnt bite.

In case anybody else gets these free "tickets" in the mail, I have recently learned what the deal is with this travelling group.

The "class" lasts from 8am to 5 pm. I guess it is 8 hours of nothing but sales pitches, and they wont even let you think about whether or not you want the course, and their cheapest course is around $3000! Anyways, our newspaper had a "red flag" alert about them, saying they have had complaints with the BBB.

Apparently they dont offer "any guarantees".

Anyways, just wanted to forewarn anybody who ALSO gets "reserved" seats #20 and #21...as everyone else I have learned did.

Just to add to the topic....I recently attended a one day free seminar that featured about 5 different speakers on real estate and asset protection. The day was to also include Suze Orman. I've read her books and liked her but had not heard of these other men. Wayne Gray was one of them. Each speaker got up and basically had the same approach. The approach was to spend about 1 hour or 1.5 each on their topic but at the end it was to sell you something at a cost of approximately $3,000.

If felt foolish at first thinking that nothing in life is free and I should have been suspect coming to a free seminar with someone as famous as Suze Orman.

But all of that being said, I did take notes during a few of these presentations and felt like I did learn some things that I didn't know before.

I agree with Ryan.....they came to Spfld, Il last winter or spring. Hubby & I attended. Boy, they like to run around the room, telling us everything about nothing (extremely vague topics), trying to make you feel like you're about to get on the stage of Family Feud.
Nevertheless, we saw a couple of acquaintances who were there. Later, we learned that they were extremely dissatisfied customers (hubby & I didn't buy into their RE products). Acquaintances did report them to the General Attorney in Sangamon County.
