Anyone here planning to attend the OREIA Convention at the end of the month? This could be a great opportunity for some (or all?) of us to get together to meet and get to know each other. I've put similar 'meet & greets' together for regulars at another site and I wish I could describe how great it was. Some of us made (hopefully) life-long friends and others simply got to know their counter-parts at the site which made it more of a community than a nameless, faceless group of posters. I think our meeting would be of great importance since we all have a common cause - making this site the successful site it deserves to be.

For information on the convention, go to www.oreia.com (http://www.oreia.com) for details on cost ($69), dates, speakers (11 new ones), accomodations and driving directions.
If there is the amount of interest there should be, I'll take care of details and, if you like, create MagicBullets name tags. Since I'm thinking about meeting at lunchtime, I'll kick in $10 toward your lunch. Now all I have to do is pray that we don't get about 34,000 participants (lol - I hope).

Bottom line? Please contact me either here or via email if you would consider joining us.

Aldo's a master at organizing these events folks, if your going to be within a days travel, this event would be well worth your time. He's right about the networking, knowledge and friendships that develope from meeting people one on one with real estate as the common ground. Give me till spring Aldo and I'll be making my reservations my friend! :SM025:

I know that most of us don't know each other here, being a new forum and all, but can attest to meeting others in this business is a great thing. I have had the pleasure of meeting up with ALDO not once, but twice, at different RE related functions, and have a lifelong colleague and friend.

I have also had the pleasure of meeting Nancy from Michigan, who you have seen posting here and that was a great experience as well.

What I am saying is, if you just "found us", are considering investing in real estate, and looking for friends / mentors in the same field.. ABSOLUTELY take ALDO up on his offer of kicking in for your lunch!! Get out and meet the people that are DOING what you are thinking about or just starting to do. I guarantee you will find it time VERY well spent.
