View Full Version : Anyone sell a house on Ebay?
Ebay charges $150 for a 30 day auction or ad listing.
Anyone ever try to sell a house?

We tried listing once a few years back. The house was in perfect shape, newer, and was really priced well.
Unfortunately, I don't think the Kansas City market was too keen on houses on eBay and we didn't get any offers through there.

There was a big deal about big ticket items (ie automoble, etc) purchased from Ebay on the news today.
Evidently, the sellers allured buyers to use their fake Escrow Companies. Bottom line: the sellers stole the big ticket items and sold them on Ebay. Buyers had no choice but to follow the orders of the police to turn over the stolen items. Apparently, one of them was a house.
Buyer Beware!

Yup, that's been a typical scam on eBay for a long time. As long as you're smart and don't go crazy, then you won't have bad luck on eBay.
so far I 've never been disapointed and have always had fair transactions.
I've been hosed on a couple of deals, both under $30. I would expect to use Ebay as more of a preliminary, find a buyer step, followed by normal escrow and closing. Guess it wouldn't hurt to take earnest money via Paypal.
I'm just not sure of the value and the exposure I would get.

I've bought and sold land on Ebay.
I bought land, then sold it the next day. I had the 1st guy send the deed to the buyer, and just kept the money in-between, lol.
