Howdy fellow Texans and other folks,

I went to the March monthly meeting for the Real Estate Investors Club (RICH) in Houston. Wow! :shocking: There sure were a lot of people and vendors there. I was a little overwhelmed. They had a couple of great presentations with good information. I think it is a great resource and will continue attending their meetings after my job in Canada finishes late this year.

The atmosphere there was buzzing and it was easy to get lost in the crowd. I was thinking of finding a smaller group closer to my home that was a little more intimate. With the smaller groups you get to know more of the people because of the interaction.

Does anyone know of a smaller group near Baytown? If not perhaps I could get one started early next year. What say you?

Thanks for checking this thread!

God bless and Happy Easter,

I joined Lifestyles Unlimited, but I think it's a little out of your way. It meets near the Galleria and has weekly case studies and short classes for investors. I've been to the members' intro. and the two day long class. Some good information, but I'm still wondering if the fee was worth it since I haven't been back since, and the mentoring is only available if you pony up another few thousand bucks. They are completely of the "buy and hold" school of thought, so rehabbing is looked down upon there.

Hope this helps!
Joe

I was going to research Lifestyles and thought they might be a little pricey. They might not like rehabs but if you buy <70% of the ARV and can get the right financing I think it is holdable. The Gallaria area is quite a drive from Baytown. :SM143: Where are you and would you be interested if there was a smaller club in Baytown? :SM056:

I'm located near Sugar Land, SW of Houston, so Baytown would be quite a haul! I heard that there might be club in Pasadena area which is closer to you, but I can't remember the name unfortunately. Let me know if you find something. Right now, I'm a little "clubbed" out, and I'll probably stick w/ Lifestyles for a while since I paid for it!

Good luck,
Joe
