Who is your favorite guru and what course did you get the most valuable information from.

Mine was INV Consulting out of Las Vegas, NV. They were very informational and actually gave me hands on training. You can see their website at www.spartanmg.com, ask for Brian or Jim. They also have some mentors here in Utah. Knowing what I know now, I would have paid them double what they asked.

William Nickerson got me started. He's passed on these days but the guy really worked real estate to his absolute advantage. And he showed others how to do it in simple fashion.

I don't have any favorite gurus. I've read books and courses from many many of them. Everyone from the Rich Dad Poor Dad series of books, to John T. Reed's books, to courses by Carleton Sheets, Wright Thurston, Albert Aiello, Jeffrey Taylor, etc. I try and garner a little bit of wisdom out of every course and book that I buy (even those ones where the majority of it is junk).

Richard Roop & Dan Doran exceeded my expectations and are the best marketing and sales trainers. Richard says he got all his knowledge and education using his MBA For Richard, that meant Mentors, Books & Audios! Dan Kennedy is a mentor to both Richard & Dan.

I recently "discovered" Jack Miller, John Schaub & Pete Fortunato & Jackie Lange--they are the best at deal structuring, creative financing, Trusts, Options, etc. And, the best part is their seminars are so inexpensive -- around $495 per seminar!

Do you know if William Nickerson lived on Long Island? There was a William Nickerson who lived next door to my family for only a few years back in the early '50s, and the they left. It seems to me that he was in Real Estate. Thanks....Sportsfan.

I really don't know where he lived to tell the truth but the stories he told gave me the push I needed to begin investing 18 years ago!
