Hello I need some smart folks help....

If you could put a message on 350,000 peoples ref what would it be?

as you may know, through my law firm I have been producing refrigerator magnets on the Savannah phone book for 4 years.

350,000 per year. We have over 1 million around town.

started with
1) 2004 just my logo,
2) 2005 logo on the moon,
3) 2006 a local beach with sun rise and logo in reflection in the water,
4) 2007 a photo of historic savannah

They have caught on an 90%+ retention rate. They are everywhere, homes, businesses, schools, everywhere...

I have some great stories on how they have caught on...

2008 I was thinking of something different :
1) Emergency or frequently called numbers
2) Promote a Charity
3) Calendars

you have any ideas??? :SM031:

Here's some ideas that kids love and easily promotable (is that a word?)...all with Spivalaw logos....

1) rubber bracelets (similiar to breast cancer bracelets)
2) hankerchef (like a cowboy type around neck)
3) dog leash (for walking of course, not to play with)
4) child's travel cup
5) Howard doll (cloth type, not rubber)
6) socks (ironed on logo)
7) back pack (ironed on logo)

Who says that kids can't help promote Howard? :smiley21:

I know! I know! I know!

Something majority of people need!

A magnet for the dishwasher with "CLEAN" on top, "DIRTY" on bottom!

I prefer to avoid associating the word dirty with a lawyer :>)

Long before I met Howard, I knew about Spiva Law group. Why? Because his magnet was on just about EVERY fridge in the houses I showed to buyers. Even then I thought it was pretty amazing. Heck, I even had one on my fridge.

Most effective branding I've ever seen.

I like the emergency number list. Or how about clearing the airway -- you know, the abdominal thrust -- the Red Cross can't call it the Heimlich maneuver anymore.

I seem to get free magnets in the mail all the time. Most go in the trash, the only ones I end up keeping have:
Full year calendar on them.
Phone number for local take out food.
Emergency first aid number to call for pets issues.

That's good to know. I ordered my 2008 calendar magnets yesterday (full year on a large magnet, not the one with paper month pages).

We have a 90%+ retention rate
That is unheard of in marketing

You said you put those initial magnets in a phone book Howard? Just how exactly did that work. Did you have a little glue spot that affixed it to a page or something?

How much was it to send out with the books? Thanks Howard, sorry I don't have a killer idea here for you, I'll keep thinking on it.

P.S. This forum has a marketing topic area Howard, let them take a shot: http://www.startupnation.com/NET_ROOT/community/Forums.aspx

to have your name in 350,000 homes.
that is not bad.

Why not co-market with a delivery pizza chain... the magnet acts as a reusable coupon for delivery of the pizza... you might put useful web sites for things in your town, kids happenings, conventions, weather, theater, movies, zoo, sexual predators list, etc...

If not to late, a public school calendar is generally useful. Otherwise, what about the magnets that are like a frame picture border and you put a photo behind it.
