Rent with Option to Buy

Okay, hubby and I have been thinking a lot about selling some of our homes to our Tenants.

I see a lot of stuff about lease with option to buy for investors, but I can't find anything regarding, renting your home to your tenant with the option to buy.

I want to learn about this. Who can help me?

I've passed on a few tenant requests for a least/option. My position is that, when I want to sell a property, it's because I want to be done with it - right now. I don't want to apply $XX dollars each month toward a downstoke for a deal that may never happen. That could lead to accounting problems from which I may never recover. Then there are the questions about who is responsible for what. Lease/options are noted for a lot of gray areas in that respect.
I don't want to discourage you, but do want to point out potential problems.
