I'm just getting started in the lower Michigan area and would like to advertise for Private investors to fund deals and would like to know if anyone knows the laws or whom I could contact at the state level to aviod any legal issues. I'm not completly sure how this web site works so I will list my email adddress if any help could be provided and if there is any investors in the areas wishing to inquire. Thaks Ken (nailbender_always@yahoo.com)

Hello Ken. Glad to see your coming onto the field (boards) You definitely want to post your request in the state specific Michigan topic block to get those folks attention on down the line.
Your e mail address is easy to find by others by clicking on your name at the top left corner of your topic block (post) when you click on your name the drop down menu opens up to allow all kinds of fun things to happen.
Here is your contact for Michigan, go to the "members list" in the top navigation bar search out "Nancy" from Mich and e mail her to ask here what she knows regarding your request here. She is VERY knowledgeable on Mich laws and may be able to further guide you here!
You could also do some research here as well:
www.alllaw.com/forms/real_estate (sample forms/ lawyer search)
www.attorneyfinder.com/index.html (find an attorney)
www.attorneylocate.com/index.html (find an attorney)
www.legalscholar.com/links/realestateassociations.html (every lawyer on the planet)
www.turnpike.net/lawnet (questions answered free)
www.legalscholar.com/links/realestateassociations.html (law resource)
And of course the other folks here on the board may add additional insights so why not subscribe to your topic, by clicking on thread tools and hitting subscribe, that way you'll get an e mail alert when new information is added here on the boards!
