Hello all. Well, every time I talk to a park manager they always ask me if I have a business card. And each time I respond with, "I'm more of a people person, but I can write down my info for ya." It comes off not very professional in my opinion and it's annoying writing my info down each time. So, I had my lovely girlfriend create a simple and easy-to-read business card for me. The card is double-sided. I had about 2500 of these made for $82! By the way, I blurred my number and e-mail for obvious purposes.

Tell me what ya think! Also, feel free to show off yours too! I'd like to see other people's cards.

Where did you have 2,500 made for that amount? Did you say they were double sided?

I got them made at Online Print House (http://www.onlineprinthouse.com). That price includes ground shipping too!

My question is more along the line of: how do you blur?

There's a setting in photoshop that allows you to do it.

I KNEW I shouldn't have asked that question. I just KNEW it!

You see Alex, I've posted multiple times that I've had trouble with the Photoshop and I HATE it! :cussing: I now suspect that I bought a defective software and not Photoshop in itself. Not one I'd care to buy Photoshop software again.

Hm...well there is Open Office. Ever hear of that? It's free and basically like photoshop.

:SM090: Sorry about that Alex. It's my biggest pet peeve. I wasn't expecting you to respond.

Yes, I've heard of it and thanx for reminding me. I kept forgetting about Open Office.

Back to the original topic *grins*

business cards can be great tools for telling people in a very short time what you do... had I seen this post before Alex had purchased the cards I might have asked a few leading questions... part of my business model, and probably the model that will make Alex do well in this business is I only lend money on homes in my inventory. So a buyer can not pick out a home and I will finance it... So... the term Finance is on the card... do you really finance mobile homes... or is your financing limited?
OK... so what are you...

mobile home dealer... and you have a exclusive on the homes you represent with a finance option that is not available to other dealers...

In short... you are a mobile home dealer...

For my mobile home dealings I have nothing on my card concerning dealing with mobile homes...

You may want to add a bit more blur cause I can see right through it. I was tempted to call just for grins... I still might

As for the cards themselves. Including the word finance does make you sound like a lender so expect calls from people looking for just the finance option and for your card to be thrown out when you explain. Either keep them very simple, as Jim suggested, so the cards can be used for a variety of purposes or turn your card into an advertisement for a specific investing segment using both sides of the card and a lot of detail. Either works but simple is usually better.

Edit: 2500 is a huge pile of cards

Edit 2: Debbie, you bought photoshop? Thats way to much program and money for the average user.

Thanks but I already have the latest copy. There are 'ways' to get photoshop without, ya know, buying it....

You think PS is fun; go play with vector images in Illustrator. Really though, there are some good PS tutorials on the web. Its an amazing program once you understand the basic and what the tools do.

Jim is right about the financing aspect. Maybe I should edit that out? Who knows...I'll ask my gf to take a look at it and see if she will add a few more items to the card. Then, I'll get a new set of cards. Maybe I'll take off the mobile home portion too. I dunno, I was just thinking that it may be a good idea to create that niche for myself.

I'm a newbie to this forum, so pardon the ignorant questions.

If I understand correctly, you only buy the land, right? not the actual mobile home? The card makes it look like you buy the home also.

PS: Free alternative to Photoshop is a program called Gimp.

Nope, he's buying mobile homes, on rented space in parks.
Some folks buy the home, and the land etc.

When you buy a mobile home on land, as a package, it's real estate.
When you buy just the MH, on rented land, it's not real estate...........but a great way to invest if done right.
