A Little Help For Our Long Term Contributor
I was informed by a long term contributor of Magic Bullets whose 75 years old father is missing.
I do not have the permission to reveal the name of this contributor but he is well known by the long term MB regulars.
His father was piloting (single engine Beechcraft Bonanza) and went missing recently.
Here is a small part of the details that happened last Saturday
"He fueled his aircraft Friday, and started his trip back home on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 5:30am local time. His ultimate goal was to get through to Canadian Customs, then fly to Great Falls, MT to spend the night. Then Sunday he planned to leave in the early morning, and was due to be home in just hours.
However, his well made and meticulous flight plans didn't happen as they've always done in the past.
This time, on this flight plan, after he took off from Norman Wells, and he had been in the air for thirty minutes, he contacted the tower, which is standard procedure. At that time, everything was good. There were no reports of any issues with himself or his aircraft; it was a good day to fly across Canada on his first leg home. However, just shortly after he checked in with the tower, his aircraft left the radar screen, he was no longer being tracked on it; his aircraft's identification went off the tower's screens.
I'm asking for MB readers to say a little prayer with high hopes that his father will be found and brought back to his family.
Thanx.
Debbie
